My weaving and fiber arts journey began in 1980 deep in the high-chaparrel of the Los Padres National Forest, high above Tassajara. There is found some yucca leaves spayed around a plant that were young and unweathered, I gathered them and later met 2 weavers by chance and soon I made my first weaving - a basket - and became a student and teacher in a student-taught weaving class at Sonoma State.
From there I got a job as a production weaver making fine fabrics for interiors. I worked as a production handweaver for about 7 years.
After a 30 year-long nursing career, I went off loom, and the loss of 3 of 5 family members led to a re-exploration of weaving and combining and ribbon and boundless creativity.
Please enjoy the signposts along my journey I have left for you.
